Quickandeasy Chocolate Cake Recipe

Cake:
250 gr butter
250 gr sugar
4 eggs
1 package vanilla sugar
180 gr flour
2 tsp. baking powder
250 gr chocolate, melted
6 TBSP water
Chocolate Cream:
150 gr chocolate
2 cups heavy cream
vanilla sugar
Method
- The original recipe calls for the chocolate being melted but you can put the chocolate in the fridge, then throw it into a Braun kitchen machine together with the flour (the knives are in the machine). This is much easier.
- Add all the other ingredients and put the dough into a greased spring form
- Bake at about 170°C for one hour.
- Remove cake to rack, let cool
Chocolate Cream:
- Slowly melt 150 gr chocolate
- Whip heavy cream, then drip melted chocolate into cream, keep beating, adding vanilla sugar to taste.
- Decorate cake with chocolate cream
Note: You may want to decorate with shavings of white chocolate or, for kids, with smarties.
