Peanut Butter And Chocolate Cake Recipe

8 oz granulated sugar
1 oz Cocoa Powder (sweetened drinking cocoa is fine)
8 oz milk
4 oz flour
1 tsp Baking Soda
2 oz butter - softened
1 egg lightly beaten
4 oz chocolate
2 heaped tablepoons smooth peanut butter
Pinch of salt
Method
- Heat oven to 180 degrees C
- Melt chocolate in a double boiler and set aside to cool
- Mix 4oz sugar, cocoa powder and milk until all is dissolved and set aside
- Mix flour, baking soda and salt together and set aside
- Cream together the remaining 4oz sugar and butter
- Add in the egg and mix until texture is creamy and smooth
- Add the egg mixture into the flour mixture and set aside
- Mix the peanut butter into the cooled melted chocolate until thick and smooth
- Combine the chocolate mixture into the flour mixture until smooth
- Pour into cake pan
- Cook for 35min or until firm and skewer comes out clean.
- Let cool, then cover with a light glaze or a cream cheese icing
