One Bowl Chocolate Cake Recipe

Cake:
3 squares semi-sweet chocolate
6 Tbsp butter/margarine
¾ c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 ¼ c flour, divided
½ tsp baking soda
¾ c water
Chocolate Glaze:
3 squares semi-sweet chocolate
2 Tbsp whipping cream
1 Tbsp butter
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl on medium for 2 minutes, or until butter is melted.
- Add sugar; beat with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla.
- Add ¼ c of the flour and the baking soda; beat until well blended.
- Add remaining 1 c flour alternately with water, beating well after each addition. Pour evenly into greased and floured 9’ round cake pan.
- Bake 30 min. or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Drizzle with chocolate glaze.
Chocolate Glaze:
Microwave 3 squares semi-sweet chocolate, 2 Tbsp whipping cream & 1 Tbsp butter until melted. Stir well.
