One Bowl Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients

Cake:
3 squares semi-sweet chocolate
6 Tbsp butter/margarine
¾ c sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 ¼ c flour, divided
½ tsp baking soda
¾ c water

Chocolate Glaze:
3 squares semi-sweet chocolate
2 Tbsp whipping cream
1 Tbsp butter

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwavable bowl on medium for 2 minutes, or until butter is melted.
  3. Add sugar; beat with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla.
  5. Add ¼ c of the flour and the baking soda; beat until well blended.
  6. Add remaining 1 c flour alternately with water, beating well after each addition. Pour evenly into greased and floured 9’ round cake pan.
  7. Bake 30 min. or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Drizzle with chocolate glaze.

Chocolate Glaze:
Microwave 3 squares semi-sweet chocolate, 2 Tbsp whipping cream & 1 Tbsp butter until melted. Stir well.
