2 cup sugar
1 3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup cocoa
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 1/2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 cup oil (or non-fat sour cream for a lighter version)
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup boiling water
Method
- Grease and flour bundt pan (or: 3 8″ round cake pans, or one 9×13″ pan)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Mix together dry ingredients
- Add wet ingredients except water. Follow the order in which they are listed.
- Beat.
- Stir in boiling water.
- Pour into greased pan(s).
- Bake 40 minutes
- Let cool for 5 minutes in pan, then invert onto wire rack,
