Easy Chocolate Cake Recipe

3 bars (6 oz. total) semi sweet chocolate baking bars, melted and cooled
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 large eggs
2 cups flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 stp. salt
1 cup milk
Creamy Chocolate Frosting
Method
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Grease and flour 2 (9 inch) round baking pans or 1 (13×9 inch) baking pan
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt in medium bowl
- Beat butter, sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy
- Add eggs; beat for 1 minute
- Beat in melted chocolate
- Gradually beat in flour mixture alternately with milk
- Pour into prepared baking pan(s)
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean
- Cool in pan(s) for 20 minutes
- Invert onto wire racks to cool completely
- Frost with Creamy Chocolate Frosting
