1 cup oatmeal
1 1/2 cup hot water
1/2 cup oil
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1 tsp soda
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup cocoa
1/2 tsp salt

Method

1. Mix together water and oatmeal. Cool.

2. Add oatmeal mixture with flour, soda, vanilla, cocoa, and salt.
3. Blend together and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.

   2 tsp baking powder
   2 tsp baking soda
   1 tsp salt
   1 tsp almond extract
   10 tbsp cocoa
   1 cup margarine
   3 cups brown sugar
   4 eggs
   1 cup oatmeal (quaker rolled oats)
   2 cups hot water
   1 lg greased pan

   Method

   1. In a dish mix oatmeal and water, set aside.
   2. In another dish sift dry ingredients.
   3. In a large bowl cream together margarine, sugar and eggs.
   4. To this add the oat mixture.
   5. Gradually blend in dry ingredients beating well.
   6. Add almond extract.
   7. Pour into greased pan.
   8. Bake at 350 till done.
