Chocolate Chip Upside-Down Cake Recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 cups water
1/4 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup flaked coconut
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips (12 ounces)
1 cup chopped pecans
2 cups miniature marshmellows
1 german chocolate cake mix (18 1/4 ounces)

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, heat water and butter until butter is melted.
  2. Stir in brown sugar; mix well.
  3. Pour into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 baking pan.
  4. Sprinkle with coconut, chocolate chips, pecans and marshmellows.
  5. Prepare cake mix according to package directions; carefully pouring over marshmellows.
  6. Bake at 325 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes.
  7. Cool for ten minutes before inverting cake onto a serving plate.
