Chocolate Chip Sour Cream Cake Recipe

One stick of butter, room temp
Two cups sugar
Three eggs, separated
16 ounces sour cream
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
Three cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
12 ounces chocolate chips
Method
- Grease a 9X13 baking pan; set oven at 350 degrees.
- In large bowl, cream butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar; mix in egg yolks, sour cream and vanilla.
- In medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda,. and salt; stir into butter mixture.
- Beat egg whites until they hold stiff peaks; fold into batter.
- In small bowl, mix cinnamon with remaining sugar and chocolate chips.
- Pour half the batter into the greased pan.
- Sprinkle with half the cinnamon-sugar-choco chip mixture.
- Pour remaining batter on top.
- Sprinkle with remaining cinnamon-sugar-choco chip mixture.
- Bake 40 to 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
