Chocolate Chip Cake Recipe

Ingredients

Vegetable spray for pan
Flour for dusting pan
1 bar (4 oz) German chocolate
1 pkg plain yellow cake mix
1 pkg vanilla instant pudding
1 cup whole milk
1 cup vegetable oil
4 large eggs
16 oz semisweet chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 325F.
  2. Lightly mist 10 inch tube pan (or Bundt pan) with spray and then dust with flour.
  3. Coarsely chop the german chocolate.
  4. Place cake mix, pudding mix, milk, oil and eggs in a large mixing bowl.
  5. Blend with mixer on low for 1 minute.
  6. Fold in german chocolate.
  7. Increase mixer speed to medium and beat 2 minutes more.
  8. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  9. Pour batter into pan.
  10. Bake cake until golden brown, 58-60 minutes.
  11. Cool on wire rack for 20 minutes.
